Goat Thing of the Day: Goat-Minded Sheep

If this goat were mine, I’d name him Truman Capote - I don’t why. It’s just what comes to mind.

Truman Capote looking goat

Teri of Snarky Mamma took the above picture of Tru-er- this cute little goat. Whatever his name is. Thanks Teri!

Owen (from Magic Lantern Show) was at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris when he spotted this goat-horned deity ancient stone sculpture thingy:

You can read more about his visit on his blog post entitled Life’s Little Coincidences.

That first goat looks hungry. Maybe it has the brain of my cat.

  • Laughing about the goat brain story...but did you see the other video clip of the "Yum brand Feed Bag"? OMG!!

    Gotta love The Onion!
  • I think you want to name him Truman Capote because of the wide-set eyes and the air of false innocence. He looks a lot like Phillip Seymour Hoffman playing Capote. Truman could write, though; my favorite: The Grass Harp.

Capote is a great name! He actually reminds me of the cartoon Aladdin haha.

btw, did you see our blog has panties today ?
  • My brother has a few goats he loves!! Seriously!
  • I love the photo of the first goat, the goat god is kind of creapy, and I love The Onion - they are just so weird and funny all at the same time.
  • UM! ZOMG. Truman Capote? = MY HERO.
  • nice shot on the goat hahahaa.... here in our village we have goats roaming around.. they are use as grass cutters...
  • I hate Disqus
  • Why do you hate Disqus? I mean I think Suzy told me you were using it and then dropped it. (We were talking about it because she was having trouble commenting on my site for a while, but I think she figured something out.)
  • Hysterical video! Love your blog!

Love Truman Capote, great name. So, a sheep with the brain of a goat? How do they know and what does that mean exactly?
  • sheesh, whats next, a peruvian short haired chinchilla with the brain of an eastern ecuadorian forest chinchilla?
  • lauresal
The goat does resemble Truman Capote. I wonder it has a high-pitched bleat, tilts its head, and wears wide-brimmed hats.
  • I too think Capote is a great name for the goat. Sheep with goats' brains?? Ack!! It is scary where they can go with this kind of information. Oh dear!!
    Hugs

  • I don't think I would want a sheep with a goat brain. Those goats are way too smart. At least mine are.
We have given you an award and if you want to collect, just stop over at our blog. Thanks.
  • I would love to stop by, but you didn't leave your blog URL in the comment form. So come back!

Will the genetic experiments never end?? Sob! I loved that sheep, exactly as she was. :O(

Truman Capote goats? Was this also the result of a tragic genetic experiment gone wrong? Poor goat........
  • While a sheep with a goat's brain is quite an accomplishment, I'm waiting for them to develop a sloth with the brain of a polar bear. (I think it would be fun for parties.) And Truman Capote is a perfect name!

    And thanks for stopping by!!!
  • Truman Cagoate (Ca-goat-ee)

LOL Tracy - goat with the eye of the tiger. "And he's watchin' us all with the eye of the tiiiiiger"
  • Oh, no no no. Clearly he's Truman Goatpote.
  • The goat at the top has a sweet smile as if he were smiling just for the camera.
As for the sheep with the goat brain, it's amazing what science can do these days...LOL!
  • I think Truman looks like a Henry too. Would Truman wear panties, if given the opportunity? Or would he give them to the sheep?
  • Truman may have been gay, but I don't know for sure if he was a panty wearer.
  • I'm sorry, but goats' eyes just creep me out.
  • AnythingFitsANakedMan
I think Truman Capote is a VERY fitting name! Something about those eyes....

    Thanks for the smile!
  • That first goat looks hungry. Maybe it has the brain of my cat.
  • Why would anyone want a sheep with a goat's brain? Truman is cute!
  • pam101360
Love that face...now that's the look! he he!

    xoxo
  • I'm thinkin' Capote is a grand name for it. A sheep with a mind of a goat....Heeeheehe! I'm crackin' up here.....anyone got any Spackle????

    Have a great day!!!
  • When they develop a man with the brain of a woman, I'll be impressed.

    Love Truman!
  • Er, how do they know the sheep has the brain of a goat? Is this like on the sitcom Father Ted where their annual carnival featured the "Spider Baby." Which supposedly was giant spider with the brain of a baby.

Only nobody knew exactly how that worked, either :)
  • OMG! Father Ted! I loved that show!
  • Everyone should have the brain of a goat if you ask me...
  • Guess what! Dad wants us to buy goats...we are headed to stocksale...
ah the joy of Farm life :)

(truman capote eh? Freud would love that!) lol
  • What's going to be scary is when they come up with a goat with the eye of the tiger. They shouldn't be fooling around with such things, I tell you what.
  • I think that would better is they have those kind of eyes for we know sheep have weak eyes.. I think this innovation would be a good start, the sheeps will now move more active than little lame original sheep.
