Goat Thing of the Day: Baking With Goats

This goat is totally making it work…

Make it work!(Image via Buzzfeed) — Thanks to Thomas of 101 Things

It’s Goat Days in Lake Forest Park (which is the name of a city, not a park) at Horizon View Park (which IS the name of a park. somewhere near Seattle, Washington) June 18-22, and here’s the poster to prove it, as photographed by my friend Warren.

From the poster:

Come watch hundreds of goats eat weeds!

I watch hundreds of humans eat all kinds of crap, but you don’t see me putting up posters about it.

Goats in the News

Paula (aka Boom Boom of How to Become a Cat Lady without the Cats) sent in a news article from the Des Moines Register called Pet Goat Petey Led to Vocabulary Lesson. An excerpt:

Probably my favorite all time pet was my black and white goat named Petey. We had many good times together, but some were very embarrassing and never forgotten.

And now…how to bake a vegan pie crust….with the assistance of goats.

I LOVE Goat Thing of the Day!
And that goat IS rockin’ those sun glasses! :)

    1. The funny thing is, Mimi, I’m not sure how many people realize that Goat Thing of the Day only happens once a week.
      :)

      Have a great weekend!

“MMM Blackberries” and “Come watch hundreds of goats eat weeds” makes that the most absurd poster I have ever seen.

  3. Beth says:

You know, videos like this just make me want a pet goat.

  4. Kelly Williams says:

I don’t know about you guys, but I ALWAYS use goats as my kitchen help when doing any baking. They really help with the clean up!

    1. Yeah, goats clean up real nice, don’t they. :)

I am totally gonna stay at Piebird Bed & Breakfast the next time I visit North Bay !
I can’t believe I never heard of it before ! I’ve been to that region a few times already.

  7. Now that’s one stylish goat that Thomas found! Love it! As for the pie crust… I think it’s the goat spit that holds it all together! (Thanks for the shout out for the goat article!)

  8. Pricilla says:

He is one stylin’ goat fur sure.
I think that since I am a Famous SpokesGoat I need a pair of shade.
I will have to talk to the publicist about this.

  9. Cheryl P. says:

Love the shades!! I took my grandson to a petting zoo yesterday and he loved the goats. Turns out feeding little goats is better than going down the playground slide. Who knew??
