Rules Schmules (Day 9 of 30 Day Photo Challenge)

I joined a bunch of other bloggers in a 30-day photo challenge and today’s theme is “rules”.

What do you mean I climbed the fence to take this photo? I don’t know what you’re talking about.

You can see today’s other challengers over at Ziva’s Inferno.

I’ll do my best to walk around the fence and hopefully not walk on the grass!

Apparently, it’s OK to stomp all over the flowers, just don’t climb the fence.

    OH, that’s just a challenge!

I like to think of rules more or less as guidelines. Like speed limits. Obviously you do too.

That, and the one about not sticking your fingers into everything at the salad bar.

Nice! Just begs to be broken. With your Tahoe trip, I was expecting a sign like, “No Touching the Dancers” or “Please tip your Escort with American Dollars.”

“Please tip your Escort with American Dollars” - HAHA!!!
Of course for that, I would have had to go inside — eek!

Some rules just beg to be broken.

YES!! I love it. And I know you TOTALLY climbed that fence!!

    • http://www.nannygoatsinpanties.com/ Margaret

Truth be told, it’s just the angle. And it occurred to me after the fact that it looked like I might have climbed it. So I’m totally implying that I did. That’s just between you and me, though. And the fence post. Ha! You see what I did there?

        AHahHAhHAhHAhAHA!!

I don’t pay attention to fences either. The grass is greener on the other side. Everygoat knows that!

    • http://www.nannygoatsinpanties.com/ Margaret

      Greener AND tasty, amirite?

    Maybe it’s for cats?

    • http://www.nannygoatsinpanties.com/ Margaret

Well, that’s what I would have assumed. ;)

I’m sorry, but if a sign is going to look that attractive, with flowers planted all around it, it’s just asking people to climb on it. Geesh. I blame the sign-maker.

OH, Maaaaan…. I LIVE on the fence.

love the angle on this one.

Ha ha you rule breaker!!!! This is an AWESOME picture… quite beautiful!

  • MikeWJ

That is, hands down, the fanciest keep off the grass sign I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen more of them than you’d probably believe. It puts me in mind of the “lost” verse to the Woody Guthrie song, This Land is Your Land. The verse he sang privately to his children:

    As I went walking,
    I saw a sign there
    And on that sign
    It said No Trespassing
    But on the other side,
    It said nothing
That side was made for you and me.

Love it! But now this is evidence.

I guess the others who didn’t make it over the fence are pushing up daisies.

I do believe this photo is admissible in a court of law…
