You know goats have become popular when people start STEALING them.
The Surfing Goat Dairy Farm on Maui is one of my favorite places to visit whenever I find myself on the island. I often sleep in one of their T-shirts.
But recently, thieves have begun snatching up the poor things to the point that 10% of their herd is missing.
Surfing Goat Dairy Offers $5,000 Reward
They are offering a $5,000 reward if someone brings back their goats alive.
Among the missing are:
- SPRECKLES, a young white goat
- 3 white young goats named ALYSS, SADIE and KEAWE
- a tan goat named LATTE, and
- a dark brown goat named MAXINE
- DOPIO, a brown goat with some black spots, and
Do visit the Surfing Goat Dairy farm if you’re ever in Maui. They have great cheese, which you’ll often find on many of the island’s restaurant menus. And they have goat cheese truffles!
