Hey, did I ever show you this mural in Napa Valley?
(image source: Napa Daily Photo) – Thanks, RuEtta!
I don’t have to tell you what it’s parodying, do I?

Goat Tossing
Every fourth Sunday in January, the Spanish throw a goat out the window.
(image source: Bizarre Events) Thanks again, RuEtta!
Even though the village has banned it.
Something about a tradition that goes way back in the little village of Manganeses de la Polvorosa where they hold the annual goat tossing festival in honor of St Vincent de Paul, their patron saint. Somebody is supposed to be at the bottom to catch the poor guy.

OH NOES! There should be NO GOAT THROWING!!!! How would those humans like it if goats started throwing them around?
Hmmmmmmm.
It does seem a bit archaic, throwing animals out the window. Not to mention cruel.
Oh my goodness I can’t even imagine what PITA would do with that goat tossin’ tradition. It’s so very wrong in so many different ways!!!
Love the mural though…cute as a button.
God bless ya and have a sunshiny kinda day sweetie!!!
You didn’t have to tell me what the painting was parodying! I was a Big Dog Mom.
Oh dear! That is awful!!
Hugs

Omg I’m so horrified by that goat being tossed out the window and I want that mural on my wall.
Every time one of the bastards walks into an arena with a bull, I root for the bull to gore his guts out… Too much?
Not at all. I thought of the whole bull fighting thing too. We Americans are just too soft, I guess.
I don’t think we’re too soft. I think they’re just barbaric.
Not sure who I feel more sorry for – the goat or whoever has to catch it!
