I am still in SoCal, dearie, but I shall return to NoCal tomorrow and plan to get shot in the arm on Tuesday in your neighborhood but not sure if it's morning or afternoon yet cuz of my "Day Job". I will keep you posted.
And now that I've bored everyone else to death with an alienating comment, I shall entertain you all with a little literary tap dance...a la Bugs Bunny.
Tap-tap-tappity-tappity-tap-tap - shuffle slide shuffle slide. (pause, pause) Tappity-tap , etc.

The truth of this particular matter is that the sign was posted outside of Whole Foods the other night. Perhaps they outsourced the sign project?

I frequent two small ethnic markets (and when I mean small, I mean my walk-in closet is bigger than these two places) - an Asian market and a Hispanic market. I'm fairly sure we're the only non-Hispanics to frequent the latter; no one who works there speaks English and we do a lot of creative pantomime to communicate. My request for corn husks so I could make homemade tamales was Oscar-worthy, if I do say so myself.
My favorite experience, though, was in the Asian market, while Darling Daughter was avidly raiding her candy section, intent on purchasing her entire stock of Pocky. The lovely lady who runs the place just stared at the horde when we went to check out, and promptly called Darling Daughter a "Rittle Piggy."

Once I lived in an apartment complex that was managed by a sweet old Bolivian couple. They once left a note on the washing machine that read "Not York."
Took me a second.
