Celebrity Sighting #142

So I'm walking out of the bathroom at Buddha's Belly when some guy walks by me to the men's room. As I'm going back to my table, I think to myself, 'That's the guy from Scrubs'. Shelly says to me as I sit down, "We just saw Todd Bridges!" So now I'm doubting myself and I say, "Well, I thought I just saw the guy from Scrubs. Are we talking about the same guy?" Of course later we decide it's not Todd Bridges, but the guy from Scrubs. Funny how we know the name of the guy he's not. A little research check on IMDB determines that he was indeed, Donald Faison.

Frankly My Dear...

CSOTD (Celebrity Sighting Of The Day)

So we're at the LACMA (L.A. County Museum of Art) checking out the Magritte Exhibit and in my head I'm thinking, 'I wonder if any celebrities would come here. Nah, not on a Sunday with all these people', and the next second Dustin Hoffman walks right past me. (Creepy music plays) Coincidence?

We consider ourselves lucky to have grabbed parking across the street in the 5 dollar lot and as we're almost to the car, I curse with frustration as we have to to turn around and go back to the museum to get our parking ticket validated so that we only have to pay the 5 dollars instead of the non-validated 20 dollars. When we pull up to the exit booth to pay, the guy says, "Do you have one of these?", and he hands me a little card to fill out because for some reason, Lexus cars get to park for free. WTF?

Later we stop at Genghis Cohen for lunch, again wondering how the hell we're going to find parking. Turns out the lot next to the restaurant has plenty of free parking available. Two or three tables are occupied with customers. Must be more of a dinner place. Anyway, just before we finish our meal, Peter Bogdanovich comes in with a young blonde (daughter? girlfriend? who knows?) You know, the psychiatrist's psychiatrist in The Sopranos?

I usually see him in interviews or DVD extras or biographies where he educates us about the history of a director or movie star. I just saw in Infamous where he plays a character being interviewed and talking about Truman Capote.
